Don Jorge recriminates Camila for secretly marrying Ricardo by taking her father’s concession. She warns Don Jorge that she’ll make sure the villagers lose respect for him if he takes out his revenge on her family. Meantime, Lisabeta concocts a plan to heighten Ricardo’s jealousy by inviting Santiago to their house while Vasco confesses to Santiago that he is one of the robbers who took Ricardo’s belongings.
