Esteban recriminates Maria because she had never shown him Servando’s letters. Maria tells Hector that she sold her stocks and will be able to get the money the next day. Hector asks her not to worry even if he has to spend the night in prison. Meantime, Greco tells Pulpo’s adopted children that he will tutor them during his free time while Venturina finds another letter that Servando left but this time it was addressed to Esteban. Hector is released from prison.
